Edward S. Schwartz
Chairman

Mr. Schwartz is a graduate of Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree.  He owned his own CPA firm for many years, concentrating the practice on affordable housing and municipal business operations.  He served as the Executive Director (CEO) for more than fifteen years, of two different organizations with multi-million dollar budgets.  As a consultant he worked with developers, housing providers and municipalities to actually build affordable housing.  Recently he became a Realtor focusing on the Commercial Real Estate market in the Greater New Haven market.  He volunteered on a variety of Boards of Directors from religious institutions to juvenile review board to not-for-profit housing developers.   A resident of New Haven, he and his wife Diane enjoy the "city" life.

Dr. Antone Capitao

Dr. Antone Capitao is a graduate of the University of Connecticut (Ph.D., 6th yr. Diploma), Eastern Illinois University (M.S.) and Southern Connecticut State University (B.S.). He also has additional coursework in Biomechanics from Columbia University. He has taught at Central Connecticut State University since 1971, advancing in rank from Instructor to Full Professor. In addition to his teaching duties, he has served as interim Department Chairperson, as well as all departmental, and many University committees. He has been the recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award given by the University. He has presented at many local, state, regional and national professional conference and has served as a consultant to many school districts as well as Central Connecticut State University's Institute for Technology and Business Development. Dr. Capitao has actively taught, coached and judged in the area of gymnastics for over 40 years. He has also served as a consultant in gymnastic injury cases. Dr. Capitao resides in Newington, Ct.

Dr. Joseph V Erardi, Jr.

Dr. Joseph V Erardi, Jr. is a veteran CT School Superintendent who has oversight of the Watertown Public Schools. Dr. Erardi has more than 30 years of experience in education and administration. Prior to Joe’s move into administration he was a highly celebrated coach and athletic administrator. Dr. Erardi coached on both the high school and collegiate level and was recognized on the state and national level for his successful soccer teams. He was CT’s Coach of the Year in 1990 and was the National Coach of the Year, as presented by the American Teacher Awards, in 1991. Dr. Erardi has an undergraduate degree in physical education and health and a master’s degree in administration from Central Ct State University, and a doctorate degree from the University of Hartford in Educational Leadership. Dr. Erardi has continued his post-doctorate studies at Harvard University. He is married to his wife Sue and has two children: Joe, and Chelsea.

Keith Havemeyer MS, PT, OCS FAAOMPT

Keith Havemeyer is a physical therapist board certified in Ortheopedics and a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. He has been a practicing PT since Graduating from the University of CT in 1992. He completed a Masters in orthopedic physical therapy at Quinnipiac University in 1999.

Keith currently works at Concentra Medical Centers where he is the Regional VP of therapy services for the Northeast.

Dr. Barry Messinger

Barry N. Messinger, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has practiced in the Manchester, Connecticut area since 1985. He has been an Orthopedic Consultant for the University of Connecticut Division of Athletics since 1985 including on the field coverage for Men's and Women's Basketball, Soccer, Ice Hockey, as well as Football and Field Hockey.

He has been a member of the Connecticut State Medical Society- Committee on the Medical Aspects of Sport and has assisted in the medical care for the Manchester Road Race, Connecticut Wolves Professional Soccer Club, Nutmeg Games, many local high school sporting events including football, and various Special Olympic events.

Other interests include volunteer Orthopedic Surgery in Guatemala through Hearts-In-Motion. His training includes a Sportsmedicine Fellowship through New England Baptist Hospital at Sportsmedicine Brookline, Massachusetts; residency in Orthopedic Surgery and Medical School training at the University of Connecticut; and he earned a BS in Biology from Yale University.
